Design Your Week #78

A recommendation, reading plan and question as we look ahead to next week

A Recommendation

The Cost of Peace

We're walking through the sermon on the mount this year at church, and this week I spoke on being a peacemaker. I felt very challenged by it, in a good way, and it's pretty poignant considering the state of the world!

Simple Discipleship - A Message Instead

If Simple Discipleship is part of your weekly rhythm then you'll have noticed no episode released this week.

I'll be honest - my brain was just too tired to write one. I was preaching this week at church, I've been giving out a lot, and I got to the end of my reserves.

If you need permission to miss a week of something (obvs not something that's actually crucial for life) then here it is.

Hey ho, the world keeps spinning, and actually the episode coming next week is one of my faves. Whad'ya know, rest does fuel creativity!

Listen to previous episodes here or read them here.

#ReadFor30Together

We started a new book last week: Surrender to Love by David G. Benner. It's a shorter read so we'll be going through it slowly until the end of March. (and it's deffo one to read slowly)

As usual, all the details and the reading plan for the month can be found here. (Plus a heads up for April and May books)

Here’s the reading for this week:

9th 30-35 | 10th 35 (reflection) | 11th 37-42 | 12th 42-47 | 13th 47-51

Questions for the week ahead

Towards the end of The Best You Yet, I lead you through a weekly and monthly review.

It’s everything you need to review your habits and rhythms from the previous week, and make sure you’re set up to win for the next one.

Here’s the video. If you don’t already do it, starting a weekly review will be a game-changer for you.

  1. How did your habits and rhythms go last week? Is there anything you need to change or make more obvious?

  2. How’s the calendar looking this week? Do you need to schedule in any prep space or protected space?

  3. This week’s journal prompt: What areas of your life are you yet to fully trust God in? Could you hand over a bit more today?

Hope your weekend is filled with peace as you rest in Him, friend.

P.S. Join me this Thursday for a 'Changing Your Relationship with Chaos' masterclass. If life feels too full and you need to catch your breath, this 90-minute practical session will get you back on top of things.
